Resetting VI in LabView 7

I just upgraded LabView from version 5.1 to 7.0. Now on a new version sometimes I have a problem, which looks strange to me. When I find my application VI not running properly, I hit "x" on the upper right corner to close it. Then, a message box appears saying "Resetting VI..." But it never ends and I have to hit "Ctrl-Alt-Del" to escape from this situation. Basically I don't know what it is doing by "Resetting ..."

The little box that comes up like that is telling ou that some external process is taking a long time to stop. I have seen it when stopping a VI in the middle of a network access or databse operation (using ADO). Sometimes the will clear by themselves, sometimes you have to bring up the task manager to shutdown the LV process, and sometimes you have to give it the three-finger salute.

What is you application doing?

Have you tried use "Ctrl"-"." to abort VI?
