Report Generation

Hello
I have to print a report with LabView 5.1 on Windows NT.
Is there a way to print a report (normal text and tables) with printing
the gridlines of the table?

Can I make different column withs with the "Append Text Table to
Report.vi"?

Thanks for Help

You can not print gridlines since a table in NI-Reports is actually just
formatted text. The columns are set up with tabs.

No. You can go into the Append Text Table to Report.vi and figure out how
it works. Then, using that knowldge, you could come up with a way to change
the tab width between columns in that VI. I have not tried to do this but
I don't think it would be very hard.

I hope that this helps,

Try using HiQ. if you have LV51, then it came with HiQ. I have found that
it works nicely as a report generator. It is a pain to work with, but once
you set it up, it looks good, and you have graphs and data and tables.

Depending on your needs, you may consider using WordVIEW to automatically
generate Microsoft Word documents from within your LabVIEW application.
