Recorded Wave File (No Sound)

Hello Folks!

I’m using “Sound Input to File” from the example to record a mini-turbine sound but nothing is coming out when playing the file as if it's empty. I tried using Sound Player.vi & Windows Media Player but luck. Note that the microphone is properly connected and I’m actually getting the signal while recording.

Thanks!!!

I tried using both of these examples, and had no issues.  Once the file has been recorded, does it have a size on disk, or is it 0KB?  When you run the Sound Player.vi does the "Is Playing?" light up?  When you play it in Windows Media Player, does the progress bar move from left to right like it is playing the file, or does it move from left to right almost instantly?  If everything appears to be working properly with the exception that sound isn't coming out, I would check all of your speaker connections.  I would also try to play the file on another computer to see if it plays there.

Hello B Treece,

I've resolved this issue by going to master volume properties and selecting the recording then select mic. I also needed to adjust mic volume control.

Thanks!!!
