Real time binary data file storage

Hai all,

               I am new to real time labivew, but  i have used LABVIEW  for the past 1 year. I have purchased real time labview with PXI 8106 and PXI 4462 board. I need to acquire the data real time and store them in a binary file. With the examples given in LAbivew i have written  a real time program with two loops. although there is no error in data acquisition part( which will be shown by the shared boolean variable). I am getting zeros stored in my binary file. ie., it stores 1000 data and then 1000 zeros. I am attaching the RT target VI and also the Host VI for your information.

  kindly help me in rectifying the above problem.

Hey,

If I run your VI (under windows for testing) I got the data correct written to the binary file. How do you check the contents of the file? Did you also check if the data from the acquisition is correct...so not zero?

hi Christian M, I am very sorry for the delay in my response. i have rectified the problem. The write binary file vi has be given the prepending option to be false. also i am just storing the double data . so while reading i am reading complete data as the double and displaying or processing it. thanks for your reply s.sundar rajan
