Real Time Counter

I need a real time counter (1,2,3,..[s]), if you have the solution for this
application, please help me.

What do you have in mind:
What timing precision do you need?
Do you want a counter on the front panel of your VI or do you
want a binary count output from an interface card (how many bits do you
need?)
