Reading multiple temperature sensors in Labview using third party drivers

Hi... I have been using LABVIEW for data acquisitions for different measurements required for our research using 3rd party drivers and respective instruments. But i am confined with input ports available in the instrument. For example-I can acquire only two temp sensor data at a time through LAKESHORE TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER 325.

Is there any possibility to acquire more than 5 temperature sensors reading through that instrument?? The temperature measurement should be by 4 probe method, sensors I am using are Platinum RTD sensors.

i have been planning to prepare an electronic circuit using multiplexer for each input port but that need to get controlled by on screen labview program.. Is that be OK? Or Is there any other alternative to get the readings??

Hi maalika,

Is there any possibility to acquire more than 5 temperature sensors reading through that instrument??

This question should be answered by reading the manual of that device.

A short look at the technical specs gives the information, that the device supports two high-res sensor inputs. I don't think it will "like" to have some multiplexer switches in the signal path…

Is there any other alternative to get the readings??

Why don't you use a NI9216 module in a cDAQ9171 carrier?

Best regards,
