DTR state while serial port init

So fas as I understand is it then not possible to update the software anymore and I would need a second serial (USB) connection for updates.
But with these both lines connected it might work.

No, unfortunately I did not, but it might work with two serial lines as proposed, the only disadvantage there is that the Arduino still reboots when the computer boots so far as I remember.

Did you read the thread?  Cut the trace mentioned in post 2.  Optionally, wire in an external relay as mentioned in post 4.
