Or you can use the System Exec.Vi

depends what you want to do really.

on the front panel, create a automation ref, right click on it and browse the list, select Microsoft Excel XX Object Library Version, then select the Application object. then connect it to "Open Automation", use property node to select windows state (minimize or maxmize, visible or hidden, etc), now you can use about every method in Excel.
