R&S HMC 8042 ROHDE & SCHWARZ, Power supply

Hi all, I'm new with lab view and I'm using a R&S HMC 8042 ROHDE & SCHWARZ, Power supply. I have installed its driver and now I try to read from a file and give the result to the power supply. Could you please help me with which functions I need and how I need to connect them? Do I need to install GPIB?

It seems USB IS working because it is shown in the lab view, but I can not read or write data. I'm attaching the screenshot.

Hi,

you wrote you downloaded the driver, but you are not using it. First, read the R&S Driver app note 1MA228:

Use the LabVIEW palette Diagram -> Instr Drivers to access the driver's VIs. Which files you want to transfer to the instrument?

Hi, thank you so much for your response.

I'm using it but the communication is not working (I tried USB and serial both)

It is just a simple file that I need to send from my pc to the power supply by USB every 1 min. It is a text file with some current values. 

At this point, I really need some examples. That would be really appreciated if you can help me.
