Is it possible to promote a application web service connection to a web socket? I know this is doable from a straight TCP connection but I don't see a way to get from a web service connection to promote it to a web socket. The web socket library ultimately is using the basic TCP connection under the hood. I would like the client to use a REST endpoint to establish the connection and then promote it to a web socket for streaming data. I want to avoid having the client poll the endpoint with repeated REST calls.
