Program event Sounds - Windows

Is there a stright-forward method of generating Windows Program event
sounds from Labview (6.0.2) ?

Aside:
In 2000/XP "Control Pannel - > Audio -> Sounds" You can choose and
customise the desktop sound scheme and attach different wav soudns to
different types of program events.

"Well behaved" windows Apps use these defined sounds/events instead of
generating their own custom sound for consistancy. So how do I make
"well behaved" sounds from Labview?

Hi Peter,

You'll want to use the "PlaySoundA" function found in the windows DLL "winmm.dll." I found the information I needed from this website:

I created and attached a VI that will play the "MailBeep" event.
