Problems downloading DAQmx 9.1.1

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to download NI-DAQmx 9.1.1 to a PC with XP and service pack 3. I am using the "recommended" NI downloader. When the download was complete, the NI downloader became non-responsive when I selected "open" to install the files. I had to restart my computer. Now a have a file called NIDAQ911f0 in my desktop (about 1G). It will not open, and there is no .exe file shown as expected in the download instructions. Please help!

Could be a network glitch, try again not using the downloader...

Thanks Mike,

I've already tried it twice with the "recommended" downloader without success. There is a "standard downloader" that they claim is less stable, but the recommended one is supposed to tolerate internet interuptions, and my internet can be flakely at times.

Are you suggesting that I try the standard downloader, or is there another way?

Also, the instructions claim that the downloader automatically extracts the files to NI/downloads but there is nothing there. Just a big file on my desktop.

Yes try the standard downloader and when it finishes you should have the same executable that will extract the files to the installation directory.
