Problem with disabling item in enumerated control.

When I try to disable an item in an enumerated type control the item becomes grayed out but is still selectable, and the control will produce the index number of the supposedly disabled item when the VI is executed.

In Edit mode, disabled items are still selectable. Before going to run mode, take care to select an enabled item and make it the default value if needed. In Run mode or running, disabled items are not selectable but if a disabled item was selected when switching, the control will keep that value until it is changed by the user.
