I installed a rotary encoder (potentiometer, angle sensor) (analog output 0-5v) in a Ergometer , for a movement the potentiometer rotates more than once time to come and go, I want to know if is possible in LabVIEW detect the change in the direction of rotation to the right or left of the potentiometer, and after this, calculate the number of movement forward and backward.

Clockwise - the voltage increase (0 to 5 for each round)
Anticlockwise - the voltage decrease (5-0 per round)
