Problem displaying tds 420a oscilloscope signal in labview

Hi,
I found a vi on here (see attachment) ... made some adjusment that fit my setting for the Tektronix 420a oscilloscope.
However, I got the following error when I try to run it: "VISA:  (Hex 0xBFFF000E) The given session or object reference is invalid."

I'm able to test the individual component independently (run TKTDS read waveform.vi by itself)... but it doesn't work when I try to run the example1.vi

Can someone help me on this? thanks.

Found it where? The example is not part of the driver. Provide a link to where you got it.

You are getting the reference is invalid because the example has no way to set the VISA reference. If you were to create a VISA Resource Name control and wire it to the feedback loop's initializer terminal (or just convert to a shift register), it would work better. You might also want to look at the example that does ship with the driver.

I found it from another user posting on this forum long time ago... here's the link:

I guess it pays to read the entire post and look how the original poster is rated. If you had read the entire post, you would have known how to fix it.

I did read the entire post... and had attempted to follow the instruction near the end on how to create the constant and enter the instrument parameter... but when I try to wire it to config horizontal ... the wires turned into broken wires. That's where I have problem.
