Problem: Array data from a COM object works fine at first call, but it crashes at following calls

If I retrieve array data from a COM object using the variant_to_data.vi it works fine at the first call, but at following calls there are no data or LabVIEW hangs or chrashes.
I'm using LV 6.0.2. Is there anybody how has an idea?
