Could someone explain to me how to calibrate a pressure transducer using Labview? It measures 0-6 bar with an output of 0-5V. It requires a signal conditioning as I am using a Ni USB 6009 data card with it. It is a four wire pressure transducer, connected to the external voltage source of 0-20V input.
Thanks

Hi 1q2w,
I am currently looking into the best way to calibrate the readings from your USB-6009.
Is it possible for you to post a link to the datasheet for your transducer as it may help me to suggest a solution.

I'm assuming you have a calibrated reference pressure transducer and a pressure source?
If you're using MAX in your application there are some built in calibration features. Let us know about your application.

This is the general specs:

This is the specific data sheet for my 0-6bar pressure transducer...

I am using MAX (measurement and automation explorer).I am using the pressure transducer to measure vapour pressure in a closed loop experimental rig for condensation...i've attached the datasheets to the previos post

If you have a task configured in MAX there is a Calibration tab for each input channel under Current Input Setup. If you click on Calibrate... it opens a calibration wizard that will step you through the calibration process. You will have to supply multiple calibrated reference pressures to your transducer. I use a Fluke 717 pressure calibrator and a Transmation 6215P from Transcat to supply the pressure.

Hi stephen,
I'm just started using the Labview version 8.6.
I'm currently also using Labview to calibrate the pressure transducer with the following specification .
analog input:0-5Vdc
Power supply:9-28Vdc
Four wires: two connected to NI 9219 and another two connected to a power supply device.
If i attached the calibration datasheet of my pressure transducer, could you guide me on how to calibrate the pressure as I'm so confused with that?
Looking Forward to hearing from you.
Do appreciate.
Best Regards,
Voon Loong

May be worth seeking advice from a professional calibration company. We use Lambda Calibration who seem to know their stuff about pressure calibration tollerances http://www.lambda-cal.co.uk/pressure_calibration.php

i am doing the same thing but with different numbers if you have figured it out would you please let me know i am really stuck
