Possible regression in LabVIEW 2011 - Signal Analysis Express VIs

Hi,

I think I have just discovered a regression in the LabVIEW 2011 Signal Analysis Express VI suite. Of course luck had it that it happened while demonstrating the Analysis VIs to new students, something that always worked in previous versions :-(.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Blank VI, all other VIs closed/unloaded
2. Add Spectral Measurements VI, accept default settings.
3. Add Tone Measurements VI, accept default settings ----> the VI is now broken internally (library/ownership problem).

What works as expected is the same procedure with the VIs in reverse order

1. Blank VI, all other VIs closed/unloaded
2. Add Tone Measurements VI, accept default settings
2. Add Spectral Measurements VI, accept default settings. ---> all as expected

I was able to reproduce this on both Windows and Linux platforms. No problem with LabVIEW 2010

I hope this report helps.

Hello Mgrobin,

My name is David and I am an Applications Engineer at National Instruments UK.

Thank you very much for this post, I have carried out the steps that you listed and found the same results as you explained happened. I have reported this regression to the  people to deal with it.

Thank you once again.
