�Advanced Magneto-Optic Recording - Beyond The Diffraction Limit�

Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship, to
work on this project funded by the EPSRC Advanced Magnetics Programme.
The post is for 30 months and the programme is a collaborative one
between the Universities of Plymouth, Manchester and Queen�s Belfast.
Work at Plymouth will focus on the further development of the optics
and instrumentation of a scanning laser microscope facility, using
LabVIEW 5.0, to include a scanning nearfield optical probe, and the use
of the system to inve
stigate the dynamics of write and read operations
in novel magneto-optic recording layers. Starting salary will be up to
£18,396 (pay award pending), depending on experience.
