PDA programming

Hello ,

Just begin to study PDA programming . My PDA is Palm TE, which runs Palm OS 5. Now I want to design based on the device and hope it can comunicate with PC via infrared port .When installing the PDA module , it popup a message :"Microsoft Embedded Visual Tool can not be found , please cancel the installation and ..." , I am curious because I do not use any PPC tools , I just want to programming the Palm OS . Could you give an advise how to program with Palm PDA , the basic steps . Thanks .

There are actually two seperate LabVIEW PDA Modules, one for Pocket PC and one for Palm OS. They should come on seperate CDs with seperate installers. It sounds like you are actually trying to install the LabVIEW PDA Module for Pocket PC. I'd recommend checking the name on the CD. The LabVIEW PDA Module for Palm OS requires Palm Desktop and Hot Sync to be installed but does not require the Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++. Once you get it installed, I'd recommend checking out the Getting Started with the LabVIEW PDA Module, it includes a tutorial to walk you through all of the basic steps.
