Hello,
The PCI-6024E unfortunately does not have built in circuitry to handle an analog trigger as you are hoping. The Low-Cost E Series device you are using supports digital triggering, but you would require a Full-Featured E Series or one of the new M Series devices to get the analog triggering support.
Since the an analog hardware trigger is not available, you should consider the possibility of using a digital trigger instead. Though this won't supply the threshold properties of an analog trigger, it will at least supply a hardware trigger. I suggest looking at the examples that are installed with the NI-DAQ driver for assistance on setting up digital triggers.
If you are not able to settle for a digital trigger, then you have two options. The first
option is to purchase a device which supports this functionality. The second is to use DAQ occurrences to monitor the level of an analog input channel and then cause an occurrence which you can act upon when a level is passed. If you would like to look into this, have a look at the following knowledgebase:
DAQ Event 3.
I hope that you're able to find a workaround from this information.
