    Hello,

How can I get this VI to produce an output
when I insert it in another one. Until now, it
just appears to be unlinkable where I inserted
it. I would just need the information from
channel 1.

You have got me again. I see things are coming along nicely.

You haven't setup your connection panel to use it as a sub vi.

Goto your front panel and right click on the VI Icon at the top right and select Show Connector. This will show the connection panel.

Each of the little boxes can be mapped to your front panel controls and indicators using the wiring tool. Click on a box on the connector pane then click on the control/indicator on the front panel. The connection will then change colour depending on the datatype e.g. DBL will be ORANGE. The convention is Controls to the left and indicators to the right. There are a number of connection panel patterns available. You can see them by right clicking on the connection panel and selecting patterns

To get the icon back, right click on the connection panel then select Show Icon
