Open VI in early version

Is it possible to open VI created with LabView 6.1 in LabView 5.1 ?

No. To get a 5.1 version, a person with 6.1 can save it as 6.0 and then a person with 6.0 can save it as a 5.1 version. This all assumes that the 6.1 program doesn't have features unique to that version such as the event structure.

Possible, but it takes a few steps. As far as I know, in LV 6.1,
you can save back to 6.0. (Use Save With Options and the "Save for
Previous"
option.) then you need to read it into 6.0 and Save for Previous again.
(Ironically, from 6.0, you'll save back to 5.0, so when you open in 5.1
it will upgrade a version.)
