OPC browsing problem between Labview OPC client and remote Matrikon OPC simulation server

Hi All

I have OPC browsing problem between Labview OPC client and remote Matrikon OPC simulation server.

I have configured Labview I/O server (OPC client) in another computer and Matrikon OPC simulation server (v. 1.2.4.1) in another. The computers are located in different VLAN’s. Computers can ping to each other. I have Labview 8.5 with DSC.

I get error “-2147024891 occurred at GetOPCServerList.vi “ when I try to open properties page of I/O server.

Does anybody know why I get error “-2147024891 occurred at GetOPCServerList.vi “ when I try to open property page of I/O server ?

This is kind of an old post, but is a common issue that will come up for more users: DCOM communications

Just being able to ping between the computers is not enough.  In order for the two computers to communicate, you'll need:

-No firewalls (windows included) between the two

-To be on the same windows domain (or alternatively, on the same workgroup)

-Correctly configured DCOM settings.
