No data being received from memory tags

I am combining ‘real’ information received from a plc with information calculated in LabVIEW (e.g. averages). I am aiming to show both sets of info on the same graph to allow comparison. I have configured Input/Output tags for the plc information which are working fine, however I have configured memory tags for the calculated info which are not showing up on the graph. The tag monitor shows that no information is being logged to the tag name I have specified. I have attached a test example to help show this problem, where a random number generator has been substituted in place of my plc values.

I just don’t understand why my data is not getting through to the tags and the graph.

Any help would be very, veeerrrrryy much appreciated.

Thanks,

Stuart Wilson

Hi Stuart,

Just posting here for other people as we have solved this over the phone and email, but basically you need to set the raw data of your memory tags to 1 as the default is 100 with a deadband of 1% none of your data is being written to the tag, as the random nuber generator does not output a change of greater than 1.

You need to multiply the output of your number generator by 100, or more neatly change the value of your raw data to 1.
