Next release of LabView

Does anybody know when the next new releas of LabView will happen? I was going to start porting my code from 7.0
to 7.1.1 but will wait if another release is due soon.

I believe it will be released in the next couple of months, certainly before the end of the year.  One of our guys is a beta tester.  LV 8 looks cool.  New look, and many new features.  Of course it will take some time getting used to the new look, but it has many advantages.

I didn't have the time to sign up for beta testing LV8 and there has been very little hype of details of the next release but here is a link to a screen shot of the next release.  Looks like there is much better interface for project management, one of the biggest shortfalls of labview and probably the number  one argument for not using LV for large enterprise applications (don't worry I don't buy into these arguments either and have not found a problem I cant solve in labview).  anyway here it is (hope the link still works):

I think I would have to be really nice to find a wrapped copy of Labview 8.0 under my tree this December.  I doubt my wife ("Santa") is going to pull this off.
