New features of LabVIEW 2015

A few days ago, LabVIEW 2015 has been released.

I've played with it and really like all the new features that make things easier for the programmer. For example, the new "add/remove space" tool is fantastic!

After using LabVIEW 2015 for a while, it will be difficult to go back to an earlier version! Seriously!

Please use this thread to discuss the new features of LabVIEW 2015.

I remember them talking about the add/remove space tool last year, I'm glad they got it in to 2015!

I'm seeing a lot of additions that I remember seeing i the Idea Exchange, so that's awesome.

The probe scale-to-fit will hopefully make the probe tool a bit less annoying.

Cheers

I would actually call them "not annoying".  They are so much better!

The feature I'm most excited about is the new Shortcut Menu Plug-in setup.  It will be exciting to see how many things in the idea exchange people will just write.  It might even start to replace Quick Drop for some things.  BTW, anybody interested in this should join the community: LabVIEW Shortcut Menu Plug-Ins

Really?

For me it's a joke.

2015 and is this all NI offers? WOW

Labview is a joke.

I expected a lot more. 2014 was a MEH release, I thought they were set on a 2 years development cycle.

There were official BLOG POSTS about UI changing.... It seems they are not able to do it.

Labview can't produce globalized software in 2015, shame on NI !

Labview misses so many features of any IDE/ADE that NOW it is almost EMBARASSING.

Labivew is a total JOKE at this point.

Pretty underwhelmed with the new features here, too, as I was last year.

Ok, yes, NI has not been putting out the features as of late.  They had a major shift in priorities based on all of our feedback to aim for stability and speed.  Therefore, features are at the bottom of the list.  NI has also been putting a lot of resources on a long term project that will be worth the wait (I hope I didn't say too much here).

I don't know, I thought the comment on porting the entire LV runtime to Javascript was a joke which just went very flat (keynote 05.08.2015)......

I've been clicking the Reply button each time I come back to this thread, but keep hitting Cancel because I don't want to say too much. Smiley Frustrated

I believe we were told to say "There are long-term behind-the-scene things happening at NI that make it seem like feedback is being ignored. Don't worry, you are not being ignored."
