Need to convert LabVIEW 8.5 .vi and .dll to 7.1

Hi!

I've got four .vi's and a .dll that I developed here on 8.5 and need to send them to a customer so they can include them in the application that they're building in 7.1.

How can I convert them?

I was able to attach three of the .vi here.

Thanks

Allen

I guess the VIs can be converted without problems. But for the DLL it has to be buildt in 7.1. If not I think it ask for a 8.5 Runtime engine

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

Hi, Coq

Here's the fourth .vi and .dll

How do you convert them?

Allen

(ooops! this didn't want to send the .dll - I hope I'll be able to find an old computer downstairs on the production floor that still has 7.1 installed and try to compile it there)

If you don't have 8.0, you won't be able to convert anything. That's the only version with which you can save to 7.1. You would have to post the code you used to create the dll (assuming you used LabVIEW to create the dll).

Converting is simply a matter of selecing 'Save for previous version' under the file menu.

OK - so the four .vis I "saved as..." version 8.0

Now what?

Post them in a new thread and ask for help to convert. I have 8.6 and 7.0 so I can not help you. Also if the source code for the dll is not Labview you do not have to recompile it. This will only apply if it is built with Labview
