Dave,
Here's a couple of ideas about why you might be getting the message:
First, make sure your driver is properly installed and can communicate
with your DAQ card. Do this by running the DAQ Configuration Utility
(depending on driver version and OS) or by testing your card through the
Measurement & Automation Explorer.
Next, especially if you're running an executable (created using the
LabVIEW Application Builder) instead of a VI in LabVIEW, you should
check to make sure that the daqdrv file is copied into the same folder
as the executable (from the NI KnowledgeBase:
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/e6d9288ae28a78718625658b0003f699).
If in LabVIEW, make sure that the daqdrv file is present in the LabVIEW
folder.
If you're using a Macintosh and OS 8.1 or l
ater, you can get this
problem if you don't have the latest version of NI-DAQ for the
Macintosh. There's also more info on this in the NI KnowledgeBase
(http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/926f4808b81595e786256641004d94f3).
Hope it helps,
