Need help with drivers.

Good Afternoon. I am a contracter with a company that uses several different types of NI cards (PCI-6052E, AT-MOI-16E-2, PCI-CAN and PCU-GPIB). What are the correct drivers for these cards and will the drivers work with older versions of LabVIEW?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Desteier,

You can download the drivers from the "Instrument Drivers Network". You should have received the drivers with the cards. However, you should be able to find the most recent and older version of drivers by following this link:

Enjoy,

For data acquisition, CAN, GPIB, and other non instruments, try the Drivers and Updates section of the NI website:

Desteier,

There are several different drivers you will need for these cards. For the PCI-6052E and the AT-MIO-16E-2, you will need one of the NI-DAQ drivers. Both of these cards are supported in the latest version, 7.3.
This version comes with two different DAQ drivers, Traditional NI-DAQ and NI-DAQmx, which is a newer driver. While the PCI card is supported in both, the AT card will only work with Traditional NI-DAQ.

For the PCI-CAN card, you will need the NI-CAN driver. Version 2.2 is our latest version.

For the PCI-GPIB card, you will need the NI-488.2 driver. The latest version for this driver is version 2.2.

You can download all of these drivers from the National Instruments website, and you can navigate to the various downloading pages through
the link posted above.

These drivers will work with older versions of LabVIEW, but there is one thing to keep in mind. NI-DAQmx can only be used with LabVIEW 7.0 or later, but since you cannot use this driver with your AT card, this should not be a problem. Traditional NI-DAQ will work with older versions of LabVIEW as well as 7.0 and later.
