Need help with GPIB-USB-HS Instrument Set-Up

Hi all,

I am trying to set-up integrate LabVIEW with our Keithley 196 Multimeter. Currently, I am working with a GPIB-USB-HS connected between laptop and multimeter, and going into MAX the GPIB-USB-HS is recognized and I have a yellow ready light (implying that the 488.2 driver is working). From here, however, MAX doesn't give me the option to go into VISA Interactive Control like it does in the tutorial (http://www.ni.com/getting-started/set-up-hardware/instrument-control/gpib-connect), and I don't see any of these driver options in tools (just the first 3). I am currently working on reinstalling the VISA driver. Is there anything else that could be going wrong or that I should try?

Hello GV KawaiiDesu,

I think a screenshot of how your device shows in NI MAX would be useful, or an NI MAX Technical Report.

I would also follow the steps in this guide: Troubleshooting NI VISA, 488.2, Serial, and Modular Instrument Drivers
