Need help generating a sin wave using NI-5640R fpga card

Hi everyone,

I am having a problem generating a simple sin signal using the NI-5640R board. I have programmed in LabVIEW before and i am pretty good at it. I recently started working with NI-5640R board. I am trying to do a simple generating a sin wave and outputting it through one of the o/p ports and i am physically connecting the o/p port to one of the i/p ports through a cable at the back of the 5640R card. I am wondering if someone can help me with this. Yes i have already read the getting started document and other stuff, but i just plain dont understand  anything (Its very surprising to me, as i have previously programmed in LabVIEW ). All i want to do/learn right now, is how to do a simple sin wave generation using the 5640R board and o/p it through o/p port and the connecting the o/p port to i/p port and graphing what ever i have received (to make sure i am reveiving what i should be). Can someone here please help me with this. I am really going nuts.

Thanks,

Sandeep.

Sandeep-

The Shipping Example called "ni5640R Analog Input and Output" does exactly what you are looking for. By default, its generates a single tone (sine wave) and output's it to AO0. It also reads in AI0, so all you have to do is connect them together and you should be all set.

Also, please keep IF-RIO (NI 5640R) questions limited to the IF-RIO forum as you will usually get a faster response.
