Need advise

I'm a rookie who wants to start somewhere.
Someone offered me a studentversion of LV3.1
Is it wise to start here, or is it better to get on board with the present developments.

Hi,

You are better of with a student or a evaluation version of LV 7.1. The
evaluation version is free, but stops after a while (30 days?).

LV3.1 is too old, you'd be studying history, not LabVIEW. But if it's all
you've got, it's better to start with 3.1 then not starting at all.

Regards,

Wiebe.

If you want to start with LAbVIEW, you probably need to spend some money on books anyway. You can get the LabVIEW Student edition for about $53 (e.g. from Amazon.com). You get a 500 page book AND the full 7.0 LabVIEW Student edition, which is cheaper than most LabVIEW books alone. 🙂 (I assume this is for your personal educational use, otherwise check the license agreement). See this link for details on the LabVIEW Student Edition.
