Need a VI conversion from LV 3.0.1-->6.1

If someone could download the ni drivers for the 6B series equipment and convert them to 6.1/6.0 I would greatly appreicate it.

They're actually advertised as version 6.x and 7 drivers, but that's a bit much of an error.

Here's the link.

The link you posted actually had the LabView 7 drivers. If you click here, you'll get the choice of version 6 or 7. I tested both the 6 and 7 versions for Windows and they're correct. I didn't look at the Mac versions. Pick the one you need.

This is the page that I got the drivers from. They work, until you try to place them on the block diagram. Try placing one on the diagram and see what happens...

I just added .AD6B Configuration Utility.vi to a LabView 6.1 diagram with no problem. It does need help finding some subVIs, but they're either in ad6b.llb or ad6bsub.llb. But after that, LabView 6.1 had no problem with them.

I've attached some pictures to show the problems I'm having. The last one is the block diagram when I try to add .AD6B Monitor and Control.vi to the diagram. The rest are examples of the error codes that I get. I get the same problems when I try to simply open the VI by itself.

Ok, when the path to the files was
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6.1\instr.lib\6B Series\ad6b\

I got all those errors, however when I moved it to

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6.1\instr.lib\ad6b\

All of the errors went away.

The funny thing is that it never asked to locate the VIs it found the VIs fine it just gave me some error about it being the wrong version. I'm not sure what that would have to do with it being the wrong version but whatever...

My guess is that you had an old version of one of the LLB files on your system that LabView found first. When you moved the new file, it forced LabView to look at a new path.

I ve the version 8.5 of labview. It will be very nice if somebody could convert them for me or send me the tool for the conversion.

Thanks in advance

You should really start a new thread if your question/request doesn't pertain to the original thread.  Here is the updated code, although most of this is built into LabVIEW, so I am not quite sure why you need the code.

Hey Matthew,

I thank you for your quick answer. you ve sent me the files in sit. format. I cannot open them because I have a PC environment. Could you send me back the updated files in zip.format ?

Thanks again for your assitance.

I don t know yet if I need really these files but I m working on a studywork and I have to make an application (software) to simulate an acceleration process with an equipment of the physic laboratory.

I was looking for examples or solutions to implement the control of frontpanel (opening and closing different windows) in function of the information treatment and I ve found these files but they were in old versions but I couldn t open them.

May be they could be useful and offer me more comprehension in the conception of my application.

Thanks again for all
