NXT Terminal on Mac quits Labview

I have Labview 8.2 on my Macbook OS Leopard 10.5.    When I try to open the NXT Terminal it tries to open for awhile and then Labview quits completely.  Does anyone have any advice with this situation?  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Kengr12,

Good Morning and I hope your well today.

Thanks for your question.

I would suggest visiting this website to get support for NXT,

Lego’s Technical Support website

http://service.lego.com/en-us/helptopics/default.aspx

Lego Message Board:

http://messageboards.lego.com/en-US/showforum.aspx?ForumID=1042

Lego Customer Services

http://service.lego.com/en-US/Contactus/Email.aspx

I would check your Mac Spec:

  • PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor; 600 MHz minimum
  • Mac OS X versions 10.3.9 and 10.4
  • 256 MB of RAM minimum
  • Up to 300 MB of available hard disk space
  • XGA display (1024x768)

The Mac can also hang with NXT when connecting to a brick. To avoid the situation, make sure that before you connect to a brick, it has been turned on and has not gone to sleep.

Have you installed the Lego Patch 1.0.1 - you can find it at the lego website.

Hope this helps,

Kind Regards

thanks for the post, but I don't seem to find my problem on the Lego forums and their email server must be down.  Other mac users are have similar issues, so I think it is a software problem rather than NXT problem.  I tried to install the patch, but it doesn't seem to work when I do it in Terminal.  Is there another way to install the patch?

Hi Kengr12,

Thanks for the update and I hope your well today.

The only location for the download of the patch seems to be the lego website.

I would recommend at least posting your question onto the Fans of Lego NI forum

I am afraid that I can't support you further with the NXT.

Best of luck,

Kind Regards
