'NI-PAL Service Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'

Karunya,

When I tried to re-install LV, it immediately asked me the driver disks without any installation of the LV program. It did not show error message.

I did not get into the registry when you deleted all references to NI software. There were a couple of files (I forgot the names) that I could not delete before I changed their names. I did not use MSI blast.

Thanks.

Hi J Ni,

I would recommend that you use MSI Blast to completely uninstall National Instruments software on your computer. Here is another forum where the blast is available for download along with the instructions. Try installing LabVIEW again after that.

Let me know what happens!

Thanks for keeping this thread going folks...  I've been getting a similar error every time I boot my PC for months but have been just "living with it" - time to do something about it!  Attached is a screen shot showing the error and details.  The primary NI stuff on my system (from the MAX 4.2.1 display) are:

NI-DAQmx  7.1.0f1

NI-Motion  6.0.0

NI-PAL  2.0.0

Traditional NI-DAQ 7.4.4f7

I do a lot of VB6 programming, using the Traditional NI-DAQ (yeah, I'm behind the times!).  Thanks for any help you can provide!

Rick

Hey Rick,

This normally happens when there is bad install of some drivers or if the files have become corrupt. It can fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers (or the latest compatible version). In your case, the nipximu.dll is related to the PXI resource manager. It cannot be installed by itself and normally comes with NI-VISA or DAQmx. So I would recommend that you uninstall and reinstall these drivers and see if it fixes the issue.

Good Luck!

I am using LabView 8.0, at start-up of my PC, I am getting an error message as
NI-PAL Service Manager encountered a problem and needed to close.
I have attached a file of the screen shots just in case you want to see them
