Approximately one year ago, my school required the purchase of the NI MYDAQ - Student Kit - with LabVIEW and multisim student edition, about $300. I recently have changed laptops and have downloaded the software to my new computer. However, Multisim is telling me that my serial number is not valid. I called NI technical support and they can see that my serial number is a valid number but will not help me because I do not have a service contract to support my student software. Does anyone know of a way to fix this or am I out of luck?

The IT folks at your school should be able to help you (unless they let their license expire, or are caught up in the "Subscription" snafu). I know I frequently did the installations for BME students ...
