NI Elvis II+ and Labview

I have a NI Elvis II+ for school and I cannot get it to interface with Labview Student Edition. No matter the version. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and I am at my whits end with this board. I never had an issue with the myRIO board and Labview 2020 back a couple years ago, but my school decided to start using NI Elvis boards. At first, they said to buy the NI ELVIS III boards, but since that was a out of pocket, there was no way I was dropping 4 grand on a board I would use for 16 weeks and probably never touch again, especially if I was going to have these issues. Our labs are all written with the Elvis II board in mind and Labview 2018. Can someone shine some light on this PLEASE!

I have tried using Labview 2020, 2018 and 2015 versions. Each time with a full uninstall and scrub from my system.

NI ELVISmx 19.0 (which that work fine on it's own)

My PC is a Windows 11 PC with all the latest updates and drivers.

Other discussion posts on this seems to be outdated and did not work for me.

Thank you.

Hi

I read your post as you can access the ELVIS II unit from the Soft Front Panels installed with NI ELVISmx 19. But you cannot control it from LabVIEW. That would be a strange problem.

Now, I don't have the ELVIS II unit, which is just a feature expanded version of myDAQ, nor LabVIEW Student installed, but they should of course work together just fine.

In such situations, the fastest ( and maybe only ) solution is installing a fresh version of Windows. Meaning, re-size the harddisk to make room for an additional partition. And install Windows and the NI software on that partition.

Regards
