Did you mean:

NI-DAQmx Task copy and rename

Hi Eric,
Let's fix the error in the DAQ Assistant first. What errors do you see in your channel configuration? What channel configuration are you using?

You do not need to install Traditional DAQ. It is an older driver, but both Traditional DAQ and DAQmx are compatible with the PCI-MIO-16XE-50, so you are able to choose which to program with. Here is more information on the two different drivers.

What version of DAQmx do you have installed on this new computer? What version do you have installed on the LabVIEW 7.1 computer?

On the Labview 7.1 computer, I am using DAQmx 7.2.  On the new computer with Labview 8, I'm using DAQmx 8.5.

When attempting to run the vi, many errors come up, saying DAQmx Create Channel.  Attached is a screen-shot of the errors.

I need to configure an NI BNC-2080.  Specifically, I need two voltage channels to be configured in the ai2 and ai3 ports.  I thought I performed this correctly through the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), under NI-DAQmx Global Virtual Channels.  They do still appear correctly in the MAX.

Also in the MAX, when examining the properties for the MIO-16XE-50, when selecting an accessory, there's no option for the BNC-2080.  Could this be the problem with my channel configuration because I don't have an accessory selected?

I am having the problem where I get "warning 74"  We recently reformatted our computer and re-installed LabView with NI-DAQmx.  Most programs run fine but one has  "warning 74" come up when I update the "DAQ Assistant" in the block diagram. I am able to see readings of the pressure transducers but I cannot proceed with anything.  I see the Daq card 2345 in the "Device and Interfaces" but I don't think I see the PCI card.  I updated the old traditional NI-Daq devices as instructed so that the new NI-DAQmx is in use.

Please let me know of anything I need to do here.

Hi Aaron

Thank you for using our discussion forums.

When you say you can see your readings but cannot proceed what exactly do you mean, is this in the dialog box where you are configuring the DAQ assistant?

One thing I found is that the particular DAQ assistant may be corrupt, so deleting it and using a new one might solve the problem.

Also you could try using one of our example programs located in Help>>Find Examples and then from the sound of your application you need a basic voltage acquisition.

Brows to Hardware input and output>>Analog Measurements>>Voltage and choose Cont Acq&Graph Voltage-Int Clk.vi.  This vi can read in a voltage continuously and can be built upon to create a custom DAQ program.

If you still have questions can you tell me exactly what hardware you are using, and what DAQmx driver you are using.  As is explained in another post in this thread, the traditional DAQ driver is not needed.

Have a great day
