NI-DAQ 6036E

I just installed a PCI-6036E to a new desktop running Windows 7. I first installed an executable file made in Labview version 12 that was originally written in labview 7. Although the card is recognized, the channel configurations are invalid. I can't even choose channel number or device number on the channel property screens in MAX. Yes I'm an amateur. Please help.

Are you trying to configure the device as a DAQmx or a Traditional DAQ?  Since the program was originally in LV7, I'm guessing Traditional.  I don't think Traditional DAQ is compatible with LV2012.

My mistake, I'm running Labview 11. I've already got it up and running on multiple labtops with a DAQCard-6036e. This is my first time with the PCI card. Also I guess I am trying to run the Traditonal DAQ. I didn't really run into any problems with the DAQCards so I'm a little lost.

Apparently LabVIEW 11 was the last version to "support" Traditional DAQ.

Were the laptops running Windows XP or Windows 7?  I haven't been able to find a chart on it, but I'm not sure how wow Traditional will work with Windows 7
