MySQL toolkit

I am writing a LabVIEW program involving MySQL. Do I have to install the Database Toolkit to get ODBC functions and interface VIs.

No. There are free alternatives. I've use LabSQL quite a bit. You can search here for others. The toolkit hides some of the actual SQL code to make things a little easier for database beginners. The NI toolkit and the free ones are all based on ADO.
