My PC does not detect USB 9233.....DAQmx version 8.7.1

Hi,

Its really confusing me, why this is happening on my PC only. I connected USB 9233 to one of the USB ports, then my PC says, USBE device detected and install hardware. I already have DAQmx 8.7.1 installed, so i chose the option "install automatically". This PC does not detect the model number of the USB DAQ .......and driver installation fails.........did any one experienced this kind of issue???

When i connect the same DAQ board to another laptop, it simply detects the model number and driver installed automatically................

Does your PC have any type of security setup for USB ports?  At our company, you have to be an administrator to install USB devices.  It's crazy but true.  Check your local security policy on your PC.

i could access any other USB device except USB 9233 DAQ..................looks odd ..right?......and this DAQ works in any other PC other than mine............................

I think the 9233 needs a USB 2.0 port, can you confirm this on your PC?

Also, how is the LED blinking on the PC it does not work on compared to the PC it does work on.

LED blinks continuously when connected to a PC that detects this device. LED is just switched OFF when i connect to my PC.

mine is new PC.. DELL optiplex 330 (bought in June 2008) ..It has USB 2.0..

Do all the PC's have DAQmx 8.7.1?

Do all PC's have the same operating system?

You may want to check your host USB controller, see reply 7 in this thread

Hi Anil Reddy,

I recommend downloading and installing a fresh version of the DAQmx driver.  It can be found here.

it worked after installation of Newer Version of DAQmx 8.8.........................not sure what the problem was.........in other PCs, it worked with 8.7.1 also...........anyways, my problem got solved..........
