I have been handed an encoder that was knocking around and the brief is to incorporate it into a new multi-turn test rig. The problem is that it is only a single turn device.
Has anyone written any code that reliably latches the turn count on a single turn encoder when the output rolls over?
The application is quite slow (24 RPM), the interface to the encoder is all working so I just have to handle the number stream.
