Modify .flx (FlexMotion) software

Hi,

I have a project with .flx files and would like to modify them,

How can I determine the version of the software (FlexMotion, LabVIEW) to edit these files?

Where can I find the software as FlexMotion seems to be obsolete?

Thanks a lot Best Regards,

Hey there,

To modify the .flx you should open the file and change the values as mentioned in the KB Below

How Do I Modify the Axis Resources of My FlexMotion Controller with the Init_RT.flx?

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/9E9A4922325D028386256C3E0075F331?OpenDocument

To determine the software version, you can go to Help>>About and that will tell you the LabVIEW version the program was created on.

You need to make sure the FlexMotion version you are using is compatible with your LabVIEW Version

NI-Motion support for different LAbVIEW Versiones

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/C14C5477173853C6862575D6006A613D?OpenDocument

As you mentioned the Flexmotion is no longer a supported product so I would suggest you'd try the new tool called soft-motion that can be downloaded from this link

Hope this info helps

Greetings

Hey Oliviolo;

What hardware are you using.. with this files alone I can't determine what version they were written on... is there any more information you can give me??? Usually they can be written using a LV vi with the flexmotion library installed; however I need to know how they were written so that I can read them.

Cheers

Hi Marisol,

It is supposed to be a proprietary board developped in house by the company, but it has a Motorola MC68332 like FlexMotion PC/PCI Boards, so I am guessing they based their design on theses.

I would try to get more information if this is not enough, if this is of some help, you'll find enclosed a printscreen of some Schematics.

Thanks a lot for your help,

Best Regards,
