Hi Folks,
I am wondering what would be the minimal install for setting up laptops to be able to do basic maintenance on fielded cRIOs. We send technicians to update and install or cRIOs in the field and their laptops are supposed to have all the tools they need to the things they need to do.
Typical things to do might be assign a static network address to a brand new out of the box cRIO. Check that the cRIO has not accidently been left in Safe mode. For the cRIO 9049, they might also need to check the mode of the modules to make sure that the right one is set. (FPGA vs. DAQmx)
Is the System Configuration (https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/drivers/download.system-configuration.html#345614)
all I need, or do I need more packages?

Make sure you install the RIO drivers on their PC's.
