Microphone sensor help

Hi,

      I am searching for some external sound sensor to detect sound from pump. Can some one experience with these kind of tests, I want to process the listen data through USB 6008(See the below figure). Where can I get microphone sensor that can send data to labview continuously. I have searched web but should not get any that can communicate with labview.

You need a current source to your microphone and an amplifier circuit to amplify the signal from the microphone .  The amplified signal is your output from the microphone circuit that goes into the analog input of the DAQ.
