Macintosh and firewire

Does anyone know of a firewire camera that can talk between macintosh OS X and labview 7.0? Thanks.

LabVIEW interacts with firewire cameras using the NI-IMAQ driver, which must be purchased separately from LabVIEW. In order for a firewire camera to be accessed in LabVIEW, it must be compatible with the NI-IMAQ driver. Please review the following knowledge base and tutorial regarding using IEEE 1394 (Firewire) cameras in LabVIEW. Ah I see, but I was under the impression that the IMAQ driver doesn't work for OS X which I guess is the real problem my group is having making this work.

You impression is correct.  The NI-IMAQ for 1394 Driver is restricted to computers running the Windows OS.  If your camera came with a driver, you may be able to calls into this driver to get an image into LabVIEW.
