MSN/Google Add-in Filter for VIs

With Microsoft and Google releasing their desktop search tools, I was wondering if any one at NI had considered writing an add-in filter to search through VI's?  I'm pretty sure that the search API's are documented, but I'm assuming the VI API is not and would be internal to NI.  We have over 1700 VI's here and this would be a huge time saver when trying to find a particular code snippet, comment, etc.

Any thoughts?

Hi Derek,

Thanks for the suggestion, the best way for you to get your suggestions looked at is to submit them through the Product Suggestion Center.

We already have a google like search in place for DIAdem 10.0 called DataFinder this make it easy to search our "search-ready" data files the TDM file format, but this is an easy implementation as the TDM file type uses an XML document to store properties about different channels.
It will most likely be harder to implement a VI search, but the morepeople ask for it, the more likely it will be implemented or seriously looked at.
If it will require a complete rewrite of the VI structure then it is unlikely to be implemented, however if the implementation will be relativly simple then it is possible to see it in a few releases time.
