MAX camera file requirement change in version 15?

Have the requirements or format for camera files (*.icd) changed in the latest version of MAX?

Everything worked fine with MAX 5.3 but my camera file seems to cause MAX to crash after the update.

I went through the process of re-generating the file using the NI Camera File Generator and I'm not having much luck. I can't select the camera attributes tab without Max throughing a noncontinuable exception.

There have been a couple versions of MAX between the one you mention and the one you're curious if things changed.

Have you tried reparing the install to see if something went wrong with the MAX upgrade?

I was able to upgrade to MAX version 15 on another comptuer and the ICD file seems to work fine. It's looking like some change to the way IMAQ is handling everything between version 4.7 and 15.

I will note that the camera sits in the heirarchy in different places. On the computer with MAX15 and IMAQ 4.7, the camera is listed under: My System > Devices and Interfaces > NI-IMAQ DEVICES. While on the machine with MAX15 and IMAQ 15 it's listed under  My System > Devices and Interfaces > NI PCIe-1533

Jason,

The different hierarchical location is expected. (This change occurred in 2014 SP1 if I remember correctly.)

More to the point, there shouldn't be anything that changed in a manner that would cause a crash between the two versions. Can you post a copy of your camera file so that I can look at it?
