I've been playing around with a webcam that happily spits out 640x480 video at 15fps for a real-time image processing vi I've made (subtraction mainly), but I could really do with higher resolution and better image quality.
To outline my specification:
Costing less than £100 (this could increase if there is a perfect match)
Does anyone know of a webcam or labview camera that suits either the first 2 requirements, or all 3?
It's probably worth adding that the focal point is likely to be around a metre from the camera.
I'm new to machine vision, so I don't know what's on the market.
Thanks in advance,
Ian

Well, I think google.com or in your case google.uk can help you finding a webcam with that specifications.

You would've thought so, but I can't find webcams that run higher than VGA in video mode (alot that boast megapixel resolutions only run at VGA).
That's why I brought the question here, someone may have had experience with the same issue..
Sarcasm one-upmanship: Why don't you have a look here..

1394 Cameras would be also my next suggestion then. Nowerdays they are also in a price level which can be compared with higher standard webcams,
but I'm not sure if you will find a "cheap" one with autofocus!
